Zion Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod located at 413 Avenue D East in Bismarck North Dakota. The members of Zion welcome you to our website and invite you to acquaint yourself with our congregation. We also invite you to join us for Divine Service at 8:30 am and 10:45 am on Sunday mornings and Saturday evenings at 5:00 pm as we gather around God’s Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Zion is a member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The Missouri Synod is a mission-oriented, Bible-based, confessional Christian denomination headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., founded on the teachings of Martin Luther.
Zion is a member of the Bismarck/Mandan Lutheran School association which operates Martin Luther School. The mission of Martin Luther School is to share the Christian faith by assisting parents in providing opportunities for spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth for children in a Christ-centered environment. On January 25, 2015 Zion held it’s Annual Voters Meeting. Zion reviewed it’s 2014 Ministry and passed the Ministry Plan for 2015. The Voters passed the proposed changes to the Bylaws. These changes will now be sent on to the North Dakota District. These changes are proposed to help make it possible for Zion’s leadership to be more responsive to the needs of the congregation.
