Preschool (Ages 3-5): Our Preschool classes will be using the Growing in Christ Curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. This curriculum focuses on a Bible lesson and memory verse each week and has supplementary craft, game, mission and snack ideas. Preschool students will meet in the basement for the “Engage” (Opening). Ages 2 & 3 also have their own class to get them used to being at Sunday School.

Elementary (Kindergarten-5th Grade): Elementary students will be using the Cross Explorations Curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. Cross Explorations has three main components: Engage, Explore & Express.
Engage: Cross Explorations starts with “Engage.” During this time all students take part in an opening activity together, singing and preparing for the rest of their exploration.
Explore: The Explore site divides kids by 2 age levels. Level 1 is for kids in grade kindergarten through 2nd grade, while level 2 covers grades 3-6. This is the Bible Study portion of the curriculum.
Express: During Express, kids apply the Bible learning to their lives as they create, experiment, sing, serve and more. This would be the craft time, experiment time and discussion.

An offering will be taken each week which will go toward our mission projects. Occasionally families will be asked to bring in an item, such as school supplies or hygiene products to make kits to send abroad. Preschool and Elementary students will take offering during their opening. Please watch for notes coming home with your child about where our offerings will be going.
Our current offerings are going toward Mercy Kits through Orphan Grain Train. Orphan Grain Train, an LC-MS organization which helps with disaster relief, and helping those in need, is requesting help in gathering supplies for Mercy Kits. Recent tornadoes and floods have resulted in a barrage of requests for Mercy Kits (also known as Hygiene Kits) for the victims. The supply is now dangerously low. Your help is needed to replenish the supply of Mercy Kits. In addition to storm victims in the U.S., people in Russia, Haiti, and many other countries have an ongoing need for these kits. Students may bring in any of the following supplies, or money for the offering, which will be mailed to purchase more Mercy Kits. To find out more, visit: The Orphan Grain Train website. Presentation of Bibles

Each Rally Sunday, all students entering third grade in Sunday School will be presented with a NIV Bible at the 10:45 am worship service. If you are unable to attend the service, your Bible may be picked up in the church office. These Bibles will be used in the classrooms, so students are encouraged to bring them each week. All new students in grades 3-8 will also be given a Bible.
